Junior Golf Academy
The Junior Golf Academy at Mattishall Golf Club gives young golfers a friendly, supportive way to learn and enjoy the game. With experienced PGA professionals on hand and facilities that work all year round, we help juniors build skills, confidence and a love of golf at their own pace.
Whether your child has never held a club or is already playing regularly, our academy is designed to make golf fun, engaging and accessible for all ages and abilities.
Coaching for all ages and abilities
Our PGA qualified coaches work with juniors in both structured group sessions and one-to-one lessons, tailored to suit the individual learner. Lessons typically cover the fundamentals — from grip, stance and swing basics to short game skills and on-course awareness.
In the winter months, sessions commonly take place in the academy using TrackMan simulators and indoor practice areas, helping young golfers keep learning even when the weather isn’t ideal. In summer, coaching moves outdoors to the driving range and course areas as appropriate.
Many families also visit Mattishall for indoor kids’ golf parties, giving children a fun, relaxed introduction to the club away from coaching sessions.

Pathways and progression
The Academy is designed as a pathway rather than a one-off class. Many juniors progress from beginner sessions into more advanced coaching, and some go on to join junior membership or take part in club events and competitions. Parents are welcome to discuss goals and progress with coaches at any time.
Get Started
