Mattishall Golf Club is a friendly 9-hole golf course in Norfolk, set in flat, tree-lined parkland with a sprinkling of water hazards. As a member of Norfolk’s 9 Hole Alliance we’re known as a nine-hole course, but we have 18 tees for those who want the feel of a full 18-hole round. Visitors are welcome every day, and the layout suits new golfers as well as low-handicap players.
The course offers a mix of approachable holes and genuine challenges. The standout test is the 5th hole: a 589-yard par 5 and one of the longest in the UK. The 14th, with its tee box set further back, stretches to a massive 645 yards. Fairways are generous but tree placement and bunkering keep better players honest, while compact greens reward a steady short game.
Take a look at the hole-by-hole drone flyover below to see how each hole plays and plan your round.
You can choose to play 9 or 18 holes depending on the time you have available. Tee times are simple to book, and visitors can call ahead to secure a slot. We ask that players follow normal golf etiquette and arrive with enough time to get ready on the tee. Trolleys and buggies are available to hire when conditions allow.
Warm up on our driving range or short-game areas before your round, then relax in the clubhouse afterwards. If you’re planning to play more regularly, our golf membership Norwich options offer excellent value through the season.
Playing at Mattishall also gives you access to our indoor golf simulators, indoor mini golf, PGA tuition and well-stocked pro shop. Many golfers combine the course with lessons or simulator practice to keep improving their game.
